Receivers : Pioneer Elite SC-57 7.1 channel A/V Receiver Newly re-designed for 2011, the SC-57 and SC-55 are the first to incorporate Pioneer's 3rd generation of Class-D multi-channel amplifiers; Class-D3. The most powerful home theater receivers available today Simultaneous Power Output – Class-D3 amplifiers are capable of producing extremely high power output simultaneously to up to 9 channels from the most demanding multi-channel soundtracks with maximum fidel- ity even when the highest volume levels are desired. THX Certification – Class-D3 amplifiers continue to be the only multi-channel Class-D amplifiers to achieve THX Ultra 2 Plus certification (SC-57) and THX Select 2 Plus certification (SC-55) to ensure Reference Level sound reproduction in any room, regardless of room size. Since 2007, Pioneer has continued to champion Class-D amplification as the only viable amplifier solution for uncompressed Dolby® and DTS® multi- channel soundtracks available on Blu-ray® disc. With lessons learned from the previous two Pioneer Class-D designs, these new Class-D3 amplifiers provide an- other level of quick response dynamics across the widest frequency range with incredible power, precision, and detail. AIR Studios Monitor Certification – Both models are sound quality “Mastered” by AIR Studio’s sound engi- neers to ensure certified receivers will faithfully re-create the essence of the original recording as the artist intended. Direct-Thru Signal Path – Class-D3 amplifiers benefit from an improved Direct-Thru design with state-of the art circuit mounting techniques allowing for fewer parts and a shorter signal path virtually eliminating "ringing" without the need for cumbersome feedback-loop filtering. With full integration into the home network , both the SC-55 and SC-57 offer the fastest, most comprehensive 2-Way communication with near instantaneous command and control metadata confirmation. Headers for metadata include; Title, Artist, Album, Genre, Format, Bitrate, and Buffer information on-screen or via iControlAV2 for iPhone®, iPad®, and Android® devices. Versatile Amplifier Configuration – Class-D3 amplifiers offer the widest variety of customized amplifier configurations to suite any “whole home” speaker system. Set-up options range from 5.2 speaker ar- rays with the addition of 4 additional channel combinations including surround back, front height, front width, zone-2 and zone 3, bi-amping, as well as B-Speaker. DTS Neo:X – Both models offer DTS Neo:X a new soundfield technology that provides up-mixing to 9.1-channels from any source utilizing a combination of front height, front wide, or surround back speaker configurations.
