In this case, they've taken a rugged outdoor cabinet, added enough Dynamat damping material to improve rigidity and lower resonances, designed a purpose-built Polyglass 6 1/2" mid-bass driver to couple with the same 1" Aluminum-Magnesium inverted tweeter employed by its wood-encased cousins above, then specially treated the drivers to withstand moisture and extreme climate conditions. In other words: this is probably the best outdoor speaker in the world! The cabinet is paintable to match any decor.
